For a few years, I've successfully used two older WRT1200AC routers as a wireless bridge on 2.4GHz between two remote buildings. I use the bridge to transmit security camera feeds to a recorder. Now I'm attempting to replicate that with two WRT1900ACS routers and running into problems. I have the latest firmware on each of them. Next, on the bridge’s web configuration screen, use the setup tool to connect the bridge to your wireless network. The tool lists the active SSIDs it can find. Pick your network’s identifier, enter the password, and select Finish to reboot the bridge. Now you can disconnect the Ethernet cable between the bridge and your PC. For some reason the location of the wireless bridge screens were changed. They are there, but well hidden. I was able to configure the screens with my host router's SSID/password/security settings and selected a non-DFS 5 GHz frequency as suggested in one of the above posts. With the bridge mode, we can connect 2 or more wireless routers/ LANs together via wireless, and we can also connect the TP-Link wireless router to wireless access point by using the bridge mode. In order to connect them with bridge mode, all of the wireless routers must support this feature and configured to work on bridge mode. Client / Client Bridge . Connect two wired networks using a WiFi link (WIRELESS connection between two routers). The secondary router must have dd-wrt installed; the primary router does not need to have dd-wrt. Some wireless access points are in fact wireless routers which directly provide Internet access, through connection with a modem.

I wanted devices connected wireless to either router to be able to work as together as a Windows HomeGroup (home network) for printer and file sharing.
Using two routers, each of which can provide coverage over a specific area, can extend the total wireless coverage available in your home, something that can be particularly useful in a large
Difference Between Router and Bridge | Difference Between A bridge, or network bridge, is a device that can also connect networks, but unlike a router, its operation does not include the network layer of the OSI model. Only the one and two layers are included in a bridge’s operation – the physical layer and the data link layer respectively. It can only connect existing networks that you can access.
